Happy Father's Day

The kids and I had a meeting trying to decide on what to buy Brian for Father's Day. This was not an easy decision, what do you buy for a father of almost five? Something great, but not to sappy. Anyway, after breaking all the piggy banks in the house, we decided on a John Deere. The kids were so proud of their gift that we attached the key to a mylar balloon and took it to Brian at work along with a "Happy Father's Day" cake. I think the gift made up for the fact that Brian had to work on Father's Day. My Uncle Bobby is grinning ear to ear up in heaven, I wish he could have been here. p.s. Go ahead, laugh it up, all of you who think we don't need a riding lawnmower, but let me ask you - when is the last time you got something you didn't need but really wanted? That's what I thought. p.s.s. I stand corrected, it's a tractor that mows grass - not just your average lawn mower.

The Jorge Posada Foundation

The Jorge Posada Foundation is a non-profit organization established by the New York Yankees’ All-Star Catcher, Jorge Posada, and his wife, Laura. Their son, Jorge Jr., was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis when he was just ten days old and had to undergo five major surgeries to correct the condition. Our family has been chosen to participate in the Jorge Posada Foundation's Mentoring Program. We will be partnered with families who are facing a battle with craniosynostosis and will help them in anyway we can. Please visit http://www.jorgeposada.com/foundation.html and click on the Programs link to view Charlie's photo and link to our web site. We are extremely proud to be a part of this foundation and look forward to supporting other craniokids and their families.

Baby #5 Update

We had our 25-26 week ultrasound today and are thrilled to have NOTHING to report! Yippee! I guess I should clarify that we have nothing bad to report. She is growing beautifully and is up to a whopping 1lb 13oz. We have decided to name her Riley Ann. Ann is my mother's middle name and I've always wanted to name a baby girl after my mom. So, as it turns out, it's a win-win situation around here and we are really getting excited to meet this new little person.
