Thanks to his speech therapist, Bene', Charlie has gone from a one word vocabulary to over 30! He has even began putting words together to make sentences, albeit, short ones. His favorite word right now is Max and he can say it better than anyone else in the family. Matthew, on the other hand, doesn't have to talk because Charlie is doing it for him. Smart thinking, Matthew, but if you don't start soon, you will join Charlie as one of Bene's patients.

Hey Davidson Family, as well as Internet Friends!
This is Sharon Young, I am Charlie and Matthew's Early Interventionist; I have been working with the boys for almost 18 months, and I am always amazed and excited to see them grow and change, and how they have miraculously overcome every obstacle put in their path.
It has been a long journey; the boys have continued to surprise and mystify medical physicians as well as family members and friends. They have said everything from the boys wouldn't live to mental retardation, and yet Matthew and Charlie continue to reach developmental goals and are more on their age-level then some of my most mild developmentally delayed cases.
Matthew is walking and getting into EVERYTHING; he climbs and crawls, he can get just about anywhere he wants to go; he is playing with toys, and experimenting and making things; he is talking and communicating with his siblings and others around him; Matthew sings and dances!!
Charlie has surprised us all; he is getting around by crawling, cruising, walking on knees, walking with holding someone's hand; he is talking! - Charlie is verbalizing around 30 WORDS, and he is even putting together 2-3 word sentences! Charlie is determined to walk - WITHOUT any assistance or support from a walker; he has already proven he can do it - he has taken 5 STEPS all by himself!!!
I am so proud of Matthew and Charlie - they are my BOYS!! I am so lucky to have the chance to be apart of their lives - I am BLESSED and a better person since I have been able to be apart of the Davidson Family.
